The Deltrol DSV-080-2NCP-N valve cartridge integrates very well with the load-holding applications, providing great working conditions with a positive shutoff. While in a deactivated state, it behaves as a check valve that permits flow in one direction and prevents it in the other direction. When lifted, the poppet allows flow to be released, thus positive control is maintained.

The device in question is a normally open solenoid valve with a continuous sidethrow solenoid. This permits the valve to be operational even in harsh environments. It is intended for high pressure devices with a maximum operating pressure of 4000 PSI (276 Bar) and flow rate of 5.0 GPM (18.9 LPM). The valve has a portion of a hardened poppet and plungers, which increases service life and decreases leakage. With regard to blow by in the valve body, the device functions with a level of internal leakage which is LL = 5 drops/minute at 3000 PSI (207 Bar). There is a low leak option that brings leakage to less than 2 drops per minute.
